Live Webinar Terms, Conditions, and Continuing Education Policies

By registering for or participating in a live webinar or continuing education program offered by Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC / The Pawsitive Therapist (“Provider”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms, Conditions, and Policies.
Continuing Education Standards and Non-Discrimination
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC is fully committed to conducting all continuing education activities in strict conformance with the standards and requirements of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), as applicable.
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC complies with all applicable legal and ethical responsibilities regarding non-discrimination in promotional activities, program content, and the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards is the responsibility of the CE Provider.
All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally throughout the program.
Registration and Webinar Access
Participants are responsible for providing accurate and complete registration information.
The Webinar will take place online at the date and time provided during registration. Participants are responsible for having a compatible device, reliable internet connection, and any necessary software or technology required to access the program.
The Provider is not responsible for technical difficulties resulting from a participant's internet connection, device, software, or other circumstances outside the Provider's reasonable control.
The Provider reserves the right to change the Webinar date, time, format, presenters, or content when reasonably necessary. Participants will be notified of material changes when practicable.
Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain professional and respectful conduct. Participants may not:
Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse another participant, presenter, or staff member.
Disrupt the Webinar or interfere with another participant's ability to participate.
Share offensive, unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate material.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Webinar or its systems.
Use the Webinar to promote unrelated products, services, or businesses.
Record, reproduce, distribute, publish, or publicly broadcast the Webinar without prior written permission from the Provider.
The Provider reserves the right to remove a participant from a program or restrict access when the participant violates these Terms or disrupts the program.
Confidentiality of Participant Information
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC will protect participant information received during registration and administration of continuing education programs, including, as applicable, name, address, telephone number, email address, and financial information.
Participant information will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the Provider's privacy practices.
Disclosure or Use of Client Information in a CE Program
Client information must not be disclosed by a presenter or participant unless proper informed consent has been obtained for its use in a continuing education program.
Composites of real-life case examples may be used in continuing education programs to provide examples or facilitate role plays or discussion while maintaining client confidentiality.
Presenters and participants are expected to protect the privacy and confidentiality of clients and to avoid sharing identifying information unless appropriate informed consent has been obtained.
Grievance Procedure
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and to anticipate and address potential concerns. However, issues may occasionally arise that require intervention or action by the CE Provider.
If a participant or potential participant would like to express a concern about Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC or a continuing education program provided by Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC, the individual may contact the CE Provider by email at Sarah@thepawstivietherapist.com
Although a particular outcome cannot be guaranteed, Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC will consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions, and respond within a reasonable time.
Grievances Concerning a Speaker
If a grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the speaker's style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance may be asked to submit the comments in written format.
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC will review the complaint and, when appropriate, share relevant comments with the speaker while taking reasonable steps to maintain the confidentiality of the individual filing the grievance.
If the CE Provider is also the presenter and the grievance concerns that individual, the complaint should be submitted to an alternate contact person designated by the Provider.
Grievances Concerning a Live Workshop
If a grievance concerns a live workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, the CE Provider will review and mediate the concern and serve as the final decision-maker for the Provider.
If the participant requests action, the CE Provider will consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions, and respond within a reasonable time.
Grievances Concerning The Pawsitive Therapist
If a grievance concerns the Pawsitive Therapist in a specific regard, please contact the CE Provider at sarah@thepawsitivetherapist.com so that the concern can be reviewed and addressed.
Grievance Confidentiality and Records
All reasonable care will be taken to uphold the confidentiality of the complainant.
The Advisory Board, when applicable, will formulate a response to the complaint and recommend action if necessary. The response and any resulting action will be conveyed directly to the complainant.
For example, a grievance concerning a speaker may be conveyed to that speaker and to those responsible for planning future educational programs. A grievance concerning a workshop offering, content, facilities, or costs may result in modifications to future offerings and/or an alternative training opportunity, when feasible.
Confidential records of grievances, the process used to resolve the grievance, and the outcome will be maintained in secure records by the
Owner & Training Development Officer.
All applicable written complaints or grievances and the CE Program's written response to those complaints or grievances will also be reported to the approving organization, The Ohio CSWMFT Board, when required.

Fees, Refunds, and Cancellation
Webinar and On-Demand Courses
Due to the digital nature of webinars and on-demand courses, refunds are not available, unless otherwise expressly stated by the Provider in writing.
If you are unable to access a webinar or on-demand course due to internet connectivity issues, device problems, software issues, or other technical difficulties on your end, a refund will not be provided.
The Provider reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program when circumstances require. If a program is canceled or substantially changed by the Provider, participants will be notified and any available remedy will be communicated at that time.
Webinar Recordings and Educational Materials
A Webinar may be recorded, including audio, video, presentations, questions, comments, and other participant interactions.
By participating in a recorded Webinar, you acknowledge that your name, image, voice, questions, or comments may appear in the recording or related educational materials, subject to applicable law.
All presentations, recordings, handouts, documents, graphics, and other educational materials provided by Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC are owned by or licensed to the Provider and are intended for the participant's personal educational use.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, modify, or commercially exploit these materials without prior written permission.
Educational and Informational Purpose
Unless expressly stated otherwise, information presented during a continuing education program is provided for educational and informational purposes.
Participation in a continuing education program does not create a professional, therapeutic, supervisory, consulting, or other professional relationship between the participant and Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC beyond participation in the educational program.
Participants remain responsible for determining how, whether, and to what extent information presented in a program is appropriate for their individual professional practice.
ADA Accommodations
ADA accommodations will be provided in accordance with applicable law.
Participants who require an accommodation or have special accessibility needs should indicate their needs when registering or contact the CE Provider at Sarah@thepawsitivetherapist.com as soon as possible so that reasonable arrangements can be considered.
Third-Party Technology
The Webinar may be hosted through a third-party technology platform. Participants may be required to comply with the terms and policies of that platform.
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC is not responsible for interruptions, outages, or technical issues caused by third-party platforms or services outside its reasonable control.
Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, presentations, course materials, recordings, and other intellectual property associated with the continuing education program remain the property of their respective owners.
Nothing in these Terms grants a participant ownership of or an unrestricted license to any Provider intellectual property.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from or related to participation in a Webinar or continuing education program, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes to These Terms
Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC may update these Terms and Policies from time to time to reflect changes in law, accreditation requirements, business practices, or continuing education standards.
The applicable version will be made available to participants through the registration process or other appropriate means.
Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Participant Acknowledgment
By registering for or attending a live Webinar or continuing education program, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including the Provider's policies concerning confidentiality, grievances, fees and refunds, client information, participant conduct, and ADA accommodations.

Persons under the age of 18 should use this Website only with the supervision of an Adult. Payment Information must be provided by or with the permission of an Adult. Intellectual Property

Accounts
- In order to procure Services on this Website and to use certain other parts of the System, you are required to create an Account which will contain certain personal details and Payment Information which may vary based upon your use of the Website as We may not require payment information until you wish to make a purchase. By continuing to use this Websiteyou represent and warrant that:
- all information you submit is accurate and truthful;
- you have permission to submit Payment Information where permission may be required; and
- you will keep this information accurate and up-to-date. Your creation of an Account is further affirmation of your representation and warranty.

Termination and Cancellation of Accounts
- Either Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC or you may terminate your Account. If We terminate your Account, you will be notified by email and an explanation for the termination will be provided. Notwithstanding the foregoing, We reserve the right to terminate without giving reasons.
- If We terminate your Account, any current or pending orders or payments on your Account will be cancelled and provision of Services will not commence.
How We Use Your Personal Information (Data Protection)
- All personal information that We may collect (including, but not limited to, your name and address) will be collected, used and held in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and your rights under that Act.
- We may use your personal information to:
- Provide Our Services to you;
- Process your payment for the Services; and
- Inform you of new products and services available from Us. You may request that We stop sending you this information at any time.
- In certain circumstances (if, for example, you wish to purchase Services on credit), and with your consent, We may pass your personal information on to credit reference agencies. These agencies are also bound by the Data Protection Act 1998 and should use and hold your personal information accordingly.
- We will not pass on your personal information to any other third parties without first obtaining your express permission.
Limitation of Liability

- In the event that any of these terms are found to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, that term is to be deemed severed from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining Terms and Conditions. This term shall apply only within jurisdictions where a particular term is illegal.
Third Party Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any rights upon any third party. The agreement created by these Terms and Conditions is between you and Sarah Newcomer MFT LLC.
The Pawsitive Therapist is a live program provider approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist board
